Internal Audits and Advisory Services for Casinos
October 22, 2020
Instructor: EJ Egghart, MBA, CPA
Internal audit is a department that is tasked with providing unbiased, independent reviews of systems, business organizations, and processes. Often times internal auditors are in a unique position to see the entire organization and to provide advisory services beyond the MICS compliance audit. This is true for CFOs, Controllers, compliance managers, and system analysts. Together, we can provide valuable insights to the board and stakeholders on business process improvements or reengineering.
Expected to do more with the same or less resources during these challenging times, this webinar will revisit the ideas of internal audits beyond MICS compliance audit effectively and efficiently by:
Effective audit planning based on risk assessment
Realigning various gaming commission departments to perform compliance audits
Utilizing the audit as a management tool by coordinating the audit process with casino management
Performing value-added adversary services such as process reengineering projects by collaborating with casino management
This webinar will benefit internal auditors, compliance managers, gaming commission staff, casino compliance and CFOs, controllers, and any casino management who are interested in providing value-added advisory services to their organization.
CJIS Security Policy and Microsoft Azure Government
August 20, 2020
Instructor: EJ Egghart, MBA, CPA
As a result of the requirements for Tribal Gaming Regulatory Agencies (TGRA) to identify contractors engaged in Noncriminal Justice Administrative functions based on MOU dated January 17, 2020, submitting outsourcing agreements with such contractors to FBI/NIGC, and completing the 90-day audit checklist, Egghart Consulting and Kodee Software is hosting a live web event to review the requirements for TGRA to comply with this new requirement for non-channel contractors (i.e. outsourced IT company, software company, etc).
Kodee is now approved by Microsoft Azure Government Cloud Services, which is already in compliance with CJIS. This version of Azure addresses the security and compliance needs of federal agencies, state and local governments, and their solution providers that are subject to certain government regulations such as CJIS.
